Unlike natural teeth, this type of dental prosthetics involves attaching ceramic to the tooth surface, so it may chip or come off if subjected to strong force. Avoid biting or tearing food with your front teeth.
POLiNATE is made so that the front teeth do not press forcefully against each other, to help prevent fractures. So, while you may have been able to bite through food with your front teeth before, this may change after the procedure.
When the final restoration is attached, we check your bite and adjust any areas where your teeth interfere with each other. However, teeth grinding or clenching habits you may not have noticed can cause dental prosthetics to fracture or come off while you sleep. If you grind or clench your teeth, we recommend using a night guard to protect your POLiNATE.
Due to the oral environment and the effects of food, saliva, and other factors, the color or shine of POLiNATE may change somewhat over time.
Over time, various problems may accumulate, including gum recession, tooth movement and gaps, discoloration, wear, detachment, and fracture. Aging dental prosthetics and physiological changes are unavoidable and are not covered by after-sales service.
Food and plaque can build up along the border between POLiNATE and your natural teeth, so using dental floss is recommended for oral hygiene. However, using dental floss incorrectly may cause the dental prosthetics to come off, so please make sure you know how to floss properly.
