What are dental implant dentures?

When dental implant treatment is a financial burden

When you feel discomfort using dentures

When dental implants are difficult due to jawbone loss

When jawbone has been lost due to long-term denture use

This option improves on the discomfort of conventional dentures and costs less than full-mouth dental implants. About 2~4 dental implants are placed, and dentures are attached using connectors that look like snap buttons. With long-term use of complete denturesThis can put stress on the gums and may cause the jawbone to be resorbed, changing its shape. It also has limitations in restoring natural chewing function.  However

Implant-supported dentures offer good chewing strength, there is no risk of the dentures falling out in your mouth, and they are less likely to irritate your gums, helping reduce oral health problems.

If you wear dentures when you have no teeth, they may come loose or move excessively, causing sores on your gums and preventing them from functioning properly. Securing dentures with dental implants can make them more stable and allow you to eat freely.

Dental implant dentures Types

 01

Fixed type Dental implant dentures

This method secures dentures using 4~6 dental implants in the upper jaw and 2~4 in the lower jaw. Because of pronunciation issues, it is mainly used with lower dentures. Since the dentures do not move at all, it can restore function close to that of natural teeth.

· Slower resorption of the jawbone, as it does not rely solely on the gums

· More affordable than full-mouth dental implants

· Comfortable because the dentures stay in place

· Partial restoration of natural chewing ability (results vary from person to person)

· The roof of the mouth is open, so there is less foreign-body sensation

· Chewing ability and clear speech

· Treatment takes longer with dental implant placement than with dentures

· Not commonly used on the upper jaw due to pronunciation issues

Removable Dental implant dentures

If you have no teeth, dental implants can be used to make dentures more comfortable. You can remove and put them back in yourself, which makes them easy to care for. 2~6 dental implants are used to secure the dentures, greatly improving their stability and making them more comfortable to use. One drawback is that repairs or replacements may be needed, with associated costs, if the components wear down or the shape of your gums changes.

Full arch / edentulous dental implant

When all natural teeth have been lost for various reasons, such as tooth decay, gum disease, accidents, or agingThis means placing dental implants in areas where teeth are missing to replace all the teeth with fixed restorations, like natural teeth. Full-arch dental implants involve far more dental implants than implant-supported dentures, so they provide greater chewing power and stability. However, full-arch dental implants are possible only if you have enough jawbone,Because many dental implants are involved, this is a complex procedure that requires a high level of skill.
